Ramadan Mubarak!
July 20th, 2012
The holy month has arrived, a time for compassion and reflection … as well as family, food & faith.
Wishing you a generous and blessed Ramadan.
Question: What are your plans for Ramadan?
My plans for Ramadan: Fostering kittens, fasting, bottle feeding kittens and eating when the time comes ;D
Sounds like a lovely way to spend Ramadan, Leila. Helping kittens!
Hi Holly,
Wish you and your family the same. Sounds like Leila has a great plan:)
As for mine I am hoping to spend some quality time with dear relatives and friends in Croatia, even though fasting is going to be a heroic feat with the array of temptations at every bakery shop, restaurants, the piazzas and those Slavonian desserts, as well as complete lack of Ramadan here. Hoping to stay steadfast.
Hope your trip was amazing and you will enjoy Ramadan with the shorter days…sunset is around 8:30pm here!
Hi Zvezdana, Great to hear from you. Wow. Croatia sounds lovely and so do all the Slavonian treats. We broke our fast at 7:12 pm here in Dubai. Pretty manageable, but it’s only Day 1! … Best wishes with the fasting in Croatia. Heroic feat indeed!!
Ramadan Kareem to you and your family Holly. 🙂
This year is special for me as I’am fasting after few years (past years I’ve been pregnant or lactating ;)). I’am also doing a series on my blog called Ramadan Journal. Pretty excited!!

Hi Neelu, Thanks for stopping by & for the comment. I enjoyed reading your blog, and I will checking in throughout the month of Ramadan. All the best to you. Ramadan Kareem!
Hi, fantastic. Thank you for sharing
Hi Holly, My husband and I are fasting for the first time this year. It makes me so thankful for what we have it’s incredible! I think it’s an experience so many people can benefit from. I wish you and your family all the best this Ramadan! I also just read the post about Suhoor and enjoyed that too. Nutella is always loved in our house. 🙂 Especially on pancakes!
Hi Molly, Thanks so much for the comment & letting me know it’s your first Ramadan. That is really special–and challenging, especially this time of year. Enjoy each day. All the best to you & your husband. Ramadan Kareem!
